Banff Gondola

Taking Banff Gondola to Sulphur Mountain

If you’re a hiking enthusiasts, I’d suggest you hike up Sulphur Mountain (~4 hours round trip) but since we were doing a family road trip, it was a better option to take the gondola up. During the whole ride up, we were trying to see if we’d be able to spot some grizzly bears, but unfortunately, all we saw were hikers (which from above, sometimes resembled bears…..maybe…).

StarLilAsianThere are several attractions worth checking out in the Rockies and if you plan to do more than 2 of them, make sure you buy the combo packages! You’ll save money & skip the line! My family & I chose the Vista Explorer (it’s no longer offered but they have similar packages on their site) so amongst the 4 of us, we saved $100!

Once we got up to the mountain, the view was spectacular! We got a nice look at Banff Town and its surrounding mountains. After doing several jumping pictures, we walked up to the highest point on the mountain where the weather station once was which was a good 1 km walk. Along the way, we saw several chipmunks that tried to approach us for food, very cute!

Overall, it was a fun attraction so I would recommend it!
