Vancouver & Vancouver Island

I love Vancouver because it’s one of the biggest cities in Canada but at the same time, you’re still able to experience the outdoors like no other. Situated right next to the Pacific Ocean and the Rockies, the beauty of nature that surrounds this place is just unimaginable.

Although I spent most of my time there eating, I still like to reserve a good chunk of my time for outdoor activities. During summer 2015, we did a family road trip up to the Rockies and it was gorgeous (read more about it here)! We’ve also gone ziplining in Whistler, kayaking at Deep Cove in North Vancouver, whale watching from Granville Island, camping on Galiano Island, walking around Stanley Park, visiting the famous Butchart Gardens in Victoria and many more!

Things to do in Vancouver

Since Vancouver is surrounded by nature, below is a list of activities that is within a few hours’ drive from Vancouver that is definitely worth checking out. If you do go try them out, leave me some comments on how it went!
